Federation University Mt Helen – Electric Vehicle Charging Station

SERVICES: Strategy Development, Feasibility, Analysis, Investigation

OBJECTIVE: Develop a comprehensive electric vehicle charging strategy for Federation University’s Mt Helen Campus.

As part of Federation University’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint, the institution engaged Bridgeford Group to develop a pilot electric vehicle charging strategy for their Mt Helen Campus. Our team of experts, with a keen understanding of the complexities involved in implementing EV charging infrastructure, set out to design a strategic plan that aligns with the University’s emissions goals.

The project started with a thorough assessment of the existing campus infrastructure, identifying potential challenges and opportunities. The Bridgeford Group team conducted a series of analyses, including expected capital and operating costs, electrical connection requirements, charger types, and investigation of “pay per use” models. We then developed a staged approach with allowances for expansion, ensuring the strategy remains adaptable and future-proof.

Throughout the project, Bridgeford Group worked closely with Federation University stakeholders, ensuring transparency and continuous communication. The final strategic plan provides Federation University with the necessary tools and insights to effectively implement and scale electric vehicle charging infrastructure on their Mt Helen Campus, contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible campus.

OUTCOME: A comprehensive electric vehicle charging strategy that supports federation university’s emissions goals and offers a scalable, future-proof infrastructure plan.
