A component of this article is an overview of the project that ultimately led to the founding of Bridgeford Group. The article elaborates on how Nick performed an energy assessment for Power Equipment’s head office, and subsequent feasibility to provide solar augmentation to reduce energy expenditure. The rooftop solar installation at Power Equipment provides electricity savings in excess of $35,000 per annum and has since been built upon with an electric vehicle charging station. This simple addition now provides additional fuel savings of approximately 2,000 L per annum, with the solar and charger reducing Power Equipment’s annual CO2 emissions by 135tonnes. This is just a small example of Bridgeford Group’s holistic approach to energy and renewables, whereby an existing system can be developed further to accommodate flexible future energy usage.
